Coming Soon: Ecohotel Las Piñas – Tarifa’s First Luxury Eco Retreat
Perched on a gentle hill between Valdevaqueros Bay and Casas de Porro, Ecohotel Las Piñas offers breathtaking Atlantic views. This ambitious project, backed by Belgian investors, aims to become Tarifa’s first five-star hotel with a sustainable, low-density design.
Set on a 27-hectare estate, only 4.2% of the land will be developed, ensuring harmony with the surrounding natural parks. Designed by Alberro Arquitectos, the architecture blends seamlessly into the landscape, using natural colors and two-story structures adapted to the terrain.
The hotel will feature 106 rooms, including 18 private villas, 22 junior suites, and 4 senior suites. Every room is positioned to maximize sea views, and sustainable elements like green roofs, cross ventilation, and solar energy minimize environmental impact.
Guests can enjoy top-tier amenities: a 1,000 sqm spa, outdoor pools, a gym, and a multi-purpose event space. The culinary experience will focus on locally sourced ingredients, with a Michelin-starred chef envisioned for its restaurant, supplied by a 17,000 sqm organic garden.
Ecohotel Las Piñas is expected to create 130-150 direct jobs, a significant increase over traditional five-star resorts due to its extensive green spaces and independent villas. With wellness treatments, yoga, and meditation on offer, the hotel aims to redefine high-end, eco-conscious tourism in Tarifa.
Targeting a high-end international clientele, the project anticipates longer stays, enhancing Tarifa’s appeal as a premium travel destination.
